Ruth qualified as a Solicitor in 2005 and acquired Ives and Co in 2010. Ruth manages Ives and Co in Ruddington, Nottingham, specialising in all aspects of Residential Conveyancing and Wills, Trusts and Probate;

Paul Thomas
Director/Solicitor
Paul qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and has extensive experience dealing with Conveyancing, Wills, Trusts and Probate, and Commercial related matters. Paul has been with Ives and Co since 2010, initially on a part time basis. Since 2014, Paul has worked in the practice full time, from the offices at Plumtree and West Bridgford.

Laura Peacock
Director/Solicitor

Evie Martin
Solicitor
Evie completed her LLB Law degree in 2019 and LLM Legal Practice Course in 2020 at Nottingham Law School. Evie qualified in 2022 as a solicitor working out of our Keyworth office specialising in Conveyancing matters Wills and Probate matters and her assistant is Esme Edwards.
Sarah Lambley
Solicitor
Sarah completed her Law Degree University of Derby in 2018 and completed her Legal Practice Course and Masters at Nottingham Trent University in 2020. Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2023 and works in the Kimberley Office, with the assistance of Scarlett Hall.
Ally Shipston
Licensed Conveyancer
Ally is based at the Ruddington office and has worked in conveyancing for over 10 years. Ally has a degree in Humanities with focus on English Literature and carries out residential conveyancing work with the assistance of her trainee solicitor Phoebe Pett and Paralegal Simran Kaur.
Curt Thomas
Chartered Legal Executive (F.CILEx), Probate Department
Curt heads up the Wills and Probate Department and has been working in this area for the last 20 years; specialising in Wills, Probate, Trust Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. He offers a compassionate and personable service making sure his clients feel at ease. He is assisted by Heena with both based at our Plumtree office.
Thomas Brewer
Conveyancer
Thomas is a Conveyancer based in the Kent Office specialising in freehold residential conveyancing.
Amy Tivey
Solicitor
Amy is a residential property solicitor based at our Ruddington office, having joined Ives and Co in September 2025. She qualified as a solicitor in 2020 and brings over 15 years of experience in the legal sector. Amy specialises in all aspects of residential property, including:
- Sales and purchases of all types of property
- Mortgages and re-mortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Local Authority Right to Buy transactions
She is supported by her dedicated team—Anna, Dhilon, and Frankie—who work alongside her to ensure a smooth and efficient service for every client.

Ryan Allen
Conveyancer
Ryan is a Conveyancer based in the Kent Office. Ryan is currently studying towards becoming a CILEX Lawyer with the Chartered Institute for Legal Executives having passed his Level 6 Conveyancing Exam in June 2022. Ryan deals with all areas of residential conveyancing and is assisted by Amy Farren.
Libby Clements
Trainee Solicitor
Libby completed her Law LLB (Hons) at Nottingham Trent University in 2024 and Legal Practice Course (LLM) in 2025. Libby is currently based in the Keyworth office and commenced her training contract in 2026 and will qualify as a solicitor on the 04/01/2028.
Heena Rana
Paralegal
Heena graduated in Criminology in 2021 and is currently studying the Solicitors Qualifying Examination part-time. She has been working in conveyancing for over 4 years and now works in the Wills and Probate department alongside Curt Thomas.
Amanda Cooper
Legal Secretary
Amanda is based in the Kent office and works with Laura Peacock on all residential conveyancing matters, as a legal secretary.
Samantha Marden
Legal Secretary
Samantha is based in the Kent office and works with Tom Brewer on all residential conveyancing matters, as a legal secretary.
Julie Lye
Post Completions
Julie has worked at Ives and Co in excess of 10 years. Julie deals with all post-completion matters in relation to Residential and Commercial transactions and works alongside Ruth Stevenson in Ruddington. Julie@ivesandco.com

Rebecca is based in the Kent office and deals with all post-completion matters.
Esme Edwards
Paralegal
Graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a LLB Law with Criminology Degree in 2024. She is currently based in Keyworth as a Paralegal on the residential conveyancing team working alongside Evie Martin. Esme is actively working towards qualifying as a solicitor via the Solicitors Qualification Examination (SQE).
Frankie Cole
Paralegal
Frankie completed her LLB Law with Psychology degree at Nottingham Trent University in 2023, and is studying the SQE. Frankie works in the Ruddington office as assistant to Amy Tivey, focusing on residential conveyancing.
Adriel Miller
Paralegal
Adriel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology in 2020, then followed on to completing her Postgraduate Law degree in 2022 with the Nottingham Law School. Adriel is currently based at the Ruddington office working with Ruth Stevenson, where she assists with Residential Conveyancing matters.
Simran Kaur
Paralegal
Simran completed her LLB Law Degree in 2018 at the University of Derby and received a Postgraduate Diploma from Nottingham Law School in 2021. She has been working in Conveyancing for 3 years. Simran is based at the Ruddington office and works as a Paralegal for Ally Shipston, alongside Scarlett Hall.
Imogen Thomas
Paralegal
Imogen graduated from Bath University in 2024 with a BSc in Law and Criminology. She is currently studying for the SQE whilst training under the supervision of Ruth Stevenson. Imogen works in the Ruddington office as a paralegal, assisting with all residential conveyancing matters.
Jessica William
Paralegal
Jessica graduated from Durham University in 2024 with an LLB Law degree. She is currently studying for the SQE whilst training under the supervision of Laura Peacock. She works in the Kent office as a Paralegal and handles a range of residential conveyancing matters.
Anna Stevenson
Legal Assistant
Anna graduated from The University of Derby with a HND in Business & Finance and spent the next 16 years working in the commercial and finance industry. Anna was a school governor for a 7-year term. Anna joins Ives & Co at the Ruddington office after 9 years working for a local County Council. Anna works with Amy Tiveys team, specialising in post completion.
Scarlett Hall

Scarlett graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2025 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Law. She is currently based at the Kimberley office, where she works as a Paralegal handling residential conveyancing matters. Scarlett works in Sarah Lambley’s team in the Kimberley office.
Amy Farren
Legal Assistant
Amy graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2025 and is based in the Kent office where she works as a legal assistant handling residential conveyancing matters. Amy works in both Tom Brewer’s and Laura Peacock’s teams.
Phoebe Pett
Trainee Solicitor
Phoebe completed her Law Degree at Nottingham Trent University in 2023 and completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University in 2025. Phoebe works in the Ruddington office with Ally Shipston and is due to qualify as a solicitor on 4th January 2028.
Evan Foster
Paralegal
Evan completed his LLB (Hons) degree in 2023 at the University of Warwick. Evan is currently based in the Plumtree office as legal assistant. Evan is currently studying for his SQE exams.
Oliver Ellerton
Paralegal
Oliver completed a degree in history before undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. He currently works at the Keyworth office in the conveyancing department, working in Evie Martin’s team
Jordan George-Ufot
Paralegal
Jordan is a Paralegal at Ives & Co and holds a degree in Law and Criminology from Nottingham Trent University. He has gained valuable legal experience across multiple practice areas, including insolvency, having worked within the sector in 2024. Through both academic achievement and practical legal experience, Jordan has developed strong skills in legal research, case management, client communication, and the provision of effective legal support. Jordan works in both Tom Brewer’s and Laura Peacock’s teams.
Kate Skinner

Kate Graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2010. She is based in our Kent office, assisting Tom Brewer, Laura Peacock and Ryan Allen on residential conveyancing matters.
Lauren Taylor
Paralegal
Lauren is a Paralegal at Ives & Co, having graduated from the University of Warwick with an LLB (Hons) Law degree in 2023. She is currently completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) as part of her professional development. Lauren has acquired experience across a broad range of Private Client and Residential Conveyancing matters and is based in the Ruddington Office working in Amy Tivey’s team, where she provides support on all aspects of residential property transactions.
